For lack of a better article, I'll be writing about the article titled "Homeless Can't Eat Deer Meat" by Todd Starnes. So apparently there is this organization called "Hunters for the Hungry" that goes out and shoots game (such as deer, obviously) and brings it to homeless shelters. Well now the Dept. of Health is ordering that the homeless are no longer served deer meat because it's "venison", whatever that's supposed to be (although I'm on a computer, I'm too lazy to look it up). This all started because some hobo at some unknown shelter in some unknown state reportedly complained about being served deer meat.
What an ungratefull piece of $#&%. Not only did those hunters spend all day hiding in some tree stand (or in a bush full of ticks) to kill that deer, but they used a bullet to kill it! Ammunition isn't exaclty free. They should be grateful to get deer nuggets, deer spaghetti, or whatever they feed them. If I was running that joint, I'd tell them to get a job or mooch off somebody else, those freeloaders. You're homeless, not Queen Elizabeth! Geez.

Repeat Offenders
According to Yahoo News 2 brothers in Pennsylvania "pleaded guilty to animal cruelty last year after 185 Chihuahuas were seized from their home". The brothers, Thomas and Albert Ambrosia, now face new charges "stemming from a December inspection that found 32 dogs at their home". Yahoo News also states that Thomas Ambrosia has said that "he intends to fight the charges". At one point I had 3 outside dogs, and I could barely handle that. They ate what seemed like twice their weight in dog food and racked up some ridiculous vet bills. I don't know what made these guys believe that they could not only handle 185 Chihuahuas, but keep them in their house and yard. Dogs need plenty of space to roam, you don't see a pack of wolves staying within 1 or 2 acres at all times. And even more important, how did they expect to feed those dogs? What really blows my mind, though, is the fact that after facing the wrath of the police, they did it again! They obviously either don't learn from their mistakes, don't care, or both. Hopefully they will spend quite a while locked away and never get the opportunity to hoard anymore animals.

A True Tragedy
I've heard many people talk about the apparent "wing shortage" that has fallen upon us. What makes it tragic is that this shortage is so close to the Super Bowl. Or rather, what WOULD make it tragic is that this "shortage" is so close to the Super Bowl. According to Kara Yorio, this Sunday Super Bowl viewers will eat "1.23 billion wing segments". She also states that this number is 12.3 million lower than last year's Super Bowl chicken wing consumption. Wow! That's SOOOO much lower than last year! In fact, we might not have enough for everyone! Whatever. I've heard so many people complain and worry about the impending shortage, like it's the end of the world or something. Just make more dip and chips, or better yet, replace the wings with more beer! But even that isn't neccessary because to call this "catastrophe" a shortage is a joke.

Yellowjacket Turmoil
Not too long ago, 7 students from a school in Wynne, Arkansas are suspected of "extreme bullying". What did they do? They are being accused of trying to hang a fellow football player.
5 of the football players are facing suspension, and 2 could be expelled. As stated by myfoxmemphis.com, "the student-athletes on the Yellowjackets ninth grade football team attempted to place a noose around the neck of a fellow black football player inside the locker room before practice in late September." Whether or not this is true, I don't know. But if it is, then I believe this is not a case of "bullying". It looks more like attempted murder. But we all know how it is; Football players get off with things you and I could never get away with. I've come to accept that. Football players are hazed every year, and sometimes people die. If these boys really did try to hang another player, it could've been hazing. However, it's still far from okay.
Geremy Warren, the cousin of the black student, "said his 15-year-old cousin was the victim of a racial hate crime and that he feared for his life as his teammates tried to hang him." Hey, I have plenty of black friends, but I've heard nothing (not even in the article I am citing) about the 7 football players being white. Even if they are, that doesn't mean they hate black people. Maybe the black student was annoying to them, and maybe they would've done the same thing if he was white. Or, maybe not.
I don't know whether or not the 7 students are racist, or if they even tried to hang a fellow football player. All I know is that bullying is unacceptable. Bullying ranges from name-calling, to stealing lunch money, to hospital bills. School isn't the only place where bullying occurs; Even adults get bullied. We are ALL guilty of bullying, no matter who you are. When we feel bad, we make others feel worse. We have to find a better way to channel our frustrations. Bullying isn't something to take lightly, and it certainly isn't something to keep bottled up. No matter how futile it may seem, we, as a whole, need to stand up and make a change to make our society better.

To Be Gay, Or Not To Be Gay...
In California, a law has been passed (and will come into effect January 1, 2013) stating that homosexuals can not undergo therapy to become heterosexual. Even if they have grown tired of their sexuality, they will have to go elsewhere to seek treatment, or pray to God they wake up straight one day.
Who's to say whether or not you can change your preferences? True, the Nazis did force many gays into 'sexuality-changing' experiments, but these people WANT to change. Why not let them? After all, quite a bit of the country is anti-gay, so wouldn't the people against same-sex marriage/relationships love to see a flamin' homosexual turn heterosexual? Apparently they won't through treatment in California. According to ABC news, Brad Dacus said, "It's an egregious violation of the rights of young people feeling same-sex attraction, and of parents and counselors who feel it would be beneficial for the individual needs of a young person." I agree. I'm sure if changing your sexaulity was as simple as buying bubble gum, we wouldn't even have "conversion therapy/sexual orientation therapy".
The bottom line is that we should be able to attend a "conversion therapy' session in California when need be. If you can't do it for the gay people, do it for the jobs. No more therapy, no more jobs for the therapists and their employees. Whether they're gay or jobless, taking this away from them isn't right.
